Grand National

Grand National was released by Elite in 1985 and was one of the few Horse Racing games released for the Speccy. The game combined you a management-type section where you pick the right horse given the various settings such as - weather conditions and the different type of course with an arcade section where you got to race in the world famous Grand National.

This game was great at the time and is still great fun now, considering it was released 14 years it is still probably the best horse racing game ever. I remember spending many, many hours trying to balance stamina and the natural urge to race flat out to try and win the race.
